Uttum joined Coopers & Lybrand, Botswana in 1973 and became a partner in 1982. He was later appointed as the first Senior Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Botswana after concluding a successful merger between Coopers & Lybrand and PricewaterhouseCoopers. In 2008, Uttum retired from PwC and later took office as Director General of the National Strategy Office of Botswana reporting directly to the Presidency from 2010 and served until 2019.

Carol-Jean has over 15 years' experience working as an investment professional in financial institutions such as the World Bank, Barclays Bank (now Absa), African Alliance Asset Management and Investec Asset Management with a focus on equities, credit opportunities (structuring), and fixed income. She is the founder of Anandi Capital, a women-owned and led alternative investment firm that focuses on funding women-led businesses and projects in the region of southern Africa.

Valentine is an entrepreneur with more than 15 years' experience in the private sector. He has been actively involved in the development of both the private and equity sectors in Zambia and southern Africa.

Priyalal is a long serving Chartered Accountant in Botswana and held the position of Chief Operating Officer of PwC Botswana from 1 July 2007 until his retirement on 30 June 2016 after serving PwC for 36 years (19 years as a partner). At PwC Botswana, he served a large portfolio of audit/tax clients and operated as the "Trusted Business Advisor" to a number of large privately-owned corporates in Botswana. His expertise is primarily in auditing, accounting, tax planning, financial investigations, financial management and governance.

Vinod's career with Deutsche Bank, Citibank, Standard Chartered and most recently with Standard Bank, as their Group Head of Trade, spans roles in operations, product management, sales & business head roles, living and working in Singapore, India & South Africa. He is passionate about realizing SEE (Social, Economic and Environmental) outcomes, in-addition to business and financial outcomes.

Subheesh joined Choppies in 2003 and has held positions from store manager to regional manager. In the last five years, he has been engaged with the chief buyer's office on imports, category management, sales and store merchandising together with the Fresh department (fruit and vegetables, bakery, butchery and deli). As Chief Buyer, he incorporates strategies to improve supply chain efficiency and ensures that margins from trade always remain healthy. He also oversees the three grocery distribution centres in Botswana.

Vidya is an experienced retailer having worked in a number of divisions at Choppies Group from the management of accounts, advising on the listing road map, investor relations and recently the acting Group CFO. She has over 16 years' experience in retail accounting, finance, corporate restructuring and mergers and acquisitions.

Minnesh's career spans over 33 years with experience in accounting, finance, corporate restructuring and mergers and acquisitions. He has worked for Edcon, owner of clothing retailer Edgars, and has held the position of CFO at the Edgars division. He has also worked for Nampak, the largest packaging manufacturer in Africa.
